The First Big Break

By Paully33
Here is another of our RB who on this drive got his first big run. After shooting the team this summer and now 4 games into season, I am better at learning what plays are about to be ran. So I just mananged to get this one as it developed. My personal opinion not as good as the first one I uploaded of him, but I think good none the less.

The action is there, and the sharpness, but you need to be in rather closer with a left crop to the players and - a different background. I know that is a daft statement, but the background just fully pulls my eyes from the action.

It is always going to be a problem to deal with backgrounds in amateur stadiums - the best bet is a low viewpoint, looking up.

Shot at your full range of 200mm, this suddenly becomes an action-packed frame-filler, albeit just slightly out of focus.

Your background at 115mm f2.8 will be a lot sharper and clearer than your background at 200mm f2.8. The further you extend your focal length, the more your background becomes brilliantly blurred (assuming your subject is fairly close to your position). That's why you loved the 400mm f2.8 so much! Yeah like I said I don't like it as much as the first one I posted but thought it was descent. I have more that I will defiantely post this week.

Yeah that 400mm 2.8 was freaking awesome! I wish I could have used it at a game. But I get to use it on my up coming workshop photographing eagles and falcons birds of prey. Pretty exciited about that.

I have a few shots that I think are pretty good that i got while I was behind endzone and the team was on the 10yrd line come at me and a couple of shots of runs up the middle.

I am gonna get a good wide receiver shot if its the last thing I do!
