The Underground

By PaulSR
This is an alternate entrance to James street station in Liverpool. The main entrance is being refurbished so commuters have to use this very old tunnel which must be over 200 yards long, and on a steep incline.
It must have been blocked off for many years, as it takes you directly to the lift entrance which i have used dozens of times, but i have never seen this tunnel before.

Like this a lot, good composition with the railings drawing u to the figure. Good exposure and detail.

Great shot and the lone person in the distance adds to it.

A well taken chance, as it may get shut again after the refurbishment - a pity if it does.
Great subject for mono, too. I would also work with some toning or with faded colours.

I shudder. It has the feel of the London Underground, which is both good and bad. A well chosen view and good treatment. A very clean cut strong image.
