Guiding Lights

By pcwillows
This is much better large for the detail but as I can't spare 29 for e2 you'll have to make do with this small one.
From a trip to Flamborough last year. I've been going through some stuff and found this that I thought I'd posted.

The title is based on the guiding light of the lighthouse (obvious I hope) and not so obvious due to the limited size here is Orion high in the winter sky just right of centre.

A 45 second exposure with the moon hiding fortuitously behind a cloud. Without the cloud this photo would have failed miserably.

This is stunning, the foreground lighting is incredible, and the orion constellation is stunning, with the red glow of betelgeuse coming through wonderfully.
Great to see you posting.
