Loch Ken

By pcwillows
Loch Ken in SW Scotland. Taken on an extremely calm day. Makes a mirror look rippled it was so flat!

What an amazing shot! The reflections are superb and the almost monochrome effect that you have works very well. Click

Thanks Brian. I took around 30 but I think this was the best.

I tried desaturating the green grass but it gave the picture too much of a monochrome look than it already has. That corner of the picture became too 'black' without the colour.
It certainly does look unreal but I can assure you it is. If it weren't for a few small detail it could almost be a cut and paste copy!
Thanks all for looking.

Great symmetry and good balance to the composition. Well done.

Hi Paul, fabulous photo, those clouds almost cotton wool ball like.

This is absolutely stunning and shockingly underclicked. The only thing i'd have done was lighten the reflected cloud in the bottom left corner, cheers

Almost didn't look at this, the thumbnail doesn't stand out. Glad I did though, like the subtle colours in it.
