The waterfall itself is nicely taken, but the sun at the top and the brightness in the foreground draw attention away from it. You could crop out or darken down the foreground and maybe you could darken the sun a little - though as you shot a jpeg there is likely to be nothing much there to work with for the centre of the sun. There are some nice colours in the starburst - maybe you could use some of them to mask part of the centre.... But, however, maybe darkening the base would make it a double subject - starburst and waterfall. I'll stop wittering now. It's much better than anything I got when I was there, I think.

Thats nay bad at all. I like the big starburst of sun, its a different view of a familiar scene.

Sue
Thanks for the comments, I have shot these in Raw, so I have some scope for adjustments. I also have some without the sun, so it may be worth processing one of these to give a different perspective. I will play around with some of your suggestions.

Chris,
Thanks, glad you like it, some more to process.

It was a pleasure meeting you Pete, and this is a nice shot, despite the sloping pool!

Good to meet you at the meet. I like the way you have caught the sun as I think it adds something different to this much photographed scene. I agree with Pete that the horizion is a little crooked but overall I think it is a great image that just needs a slight crop to straighten it up. Well captured.

Hey Pete, great you could make the NI meet, now you have a little insight into how it works, so put Doolin on your diary and hone your drinking skills.......Good shot of the falls.

Loved looking at this shot Pete, it shines out . I scrolled the sun out and it still looked a very fine , sparkling capture .

Welcome to ePHOTOzine and hope to see you at Doolin xx
Nice image of the waterfall but feel that there is too much camera flare from the sun.
