Jenson Racing

By pdarby
This is a pic of Jenson Button at the Hungarian GP this year.

This was not an easy pic to take as the cars at this point were doing about 120 - 130mph.

Normally I would baulk at taking or retaining a pic with a fenc in the foreground, but as the focus was about right and the fence just gives a greater indication of speed, I think it actually adds something good.

Crytique requested.

This certainly gives a great impression of speed with the tyres nicely blurred. Personally I am not fond of the fence but it doesnt detract too much from image.

Its a decent shot with a compact cam

You couldnt do much about the fence, and it isnt obstructing the view of the car.

I suggest a little more contrast and more space on the top can make the shot a little better.

Hope this helps

You've done an excellent job of panning with the car. Ideally, the fence wouldn't be there but I don't think it detracts too much and, as you say, the blur on it helps the feeling of speed. Extra contrast, sharpness and space, as in Willie's mods, bring out the full potential of the shot.
