Carreg Cennen castle in autumn

By PEBishop
This is taken from the back of the castle which is not easy to find, but a beautiful day closed with a windy hour catching the castle as the light faded. The sky did not help unfortunately.

Great colours and comp Paul. I only had three useable images from the shoot. Using a lens at full extension in high winds is not conducive with sharp images and I think we both struggled there They were a nightmare to process. A hazy background, dark trees, sun brightened sheep and stonework. I found it a bit of a challenge and would want to return and have another go, getting a bit closer and hoping to avoid long lens shake. A bean bag on top of the lens would have helped both of us although they were tripod mounted. When I processed mine I found there was a line of wind turbines along the background ridge that I hadn't even noticed at the time!

Hi Alun

Totally agree I had about 2 images usable the rest were out of focus due to wind. Still we know what to do next time. Are you up for the snowy winter shot well need our thermals and a 4 wheel drive to get there.
