A really good piece of work. Super composition and the manipulation works brilliantly. However I am not too sure about the rather fussy border which in my view detracts. I have produced a mod converting it to a slightly warm toned mono and removing your border.

I think you may have taken a reasonably well compose shot and created imbalance by doing the zoon burst

the photo as I now see it is of some interest in the top left of the frame, and not a lot else to catch the eye because it's blurred.

I've no idea what the un-blurred shot was like, but if there was someithng to the bottom and right that could grab the atention, then it may have balanced OK, but as it stands, its looking a little top-left-heavy.

So If you're keeping the blur, I'd suggest cropping it so there's a reasonable gap between the horse's heads and edge of frame to the right, then a similar gap at the feet.

The actual shot of the girl is really nice and hopefully you can get a good crop from it.

I agree with a lot of the above. the basic shot has great potential. Accepting the zoom burst for now, I think that's enough of an effect in its own right to ot have to bother with other effects like fancy borders - it just all gets too busy.

i was trying harder to work out what it was that wasn't quite right for me, and I realised it's maybe because the zoom burst goes against the natural motion of the shot - the horse and girl are moving from left to right, but the zoom burst is working perpendicular to that - so maybe a horizontal motion blur might work? Not sure, try it and see, just rambling with my thoughts, hope it's some use

Wow, how clever. I love what you have done with this shot. Great effect. Thanks for your kind comment on my photo.
