37 years old, I've lived in Kettering for about 15 years. First took up photography in 2009 after a family trip to Disneyland Paris where I bought my first DSLR - a Nikon D3000. I kept snapping away where I could, getting experience, but rarely taking the camera off AUTO!!
Fast forward a couple of years of 'not bad' pictures - being in the Novice section of the club etc, everything is ticking along nicely. I do well in this section so I get 'promoted' to Intermediate!
I find myself taking pictures at several carnivals throughout 2012 & 13, including Leicester, Kettering, Raunds & Corby, with Sarah Frankham. My work starts to get noticed, and I'm asked to be the 'official' photographer for the Irthlingborough Carnival 2013.
Following a successful afternoon at the Kettering Carnival - I'm approached by the resident photographer of popular Kettering nightclubs - The Loft, and Abacus, to help him out. One thing leads to another and by late 2013 I'm the resident photograher. Although the hours wouldnt suit everyone - midnight-4am, I have a great time taking pictures of all of the customers of the club. I now have my own Facebook page (don't forget to 'like' it), and Flikr page where I share all of my nightclub work. I'm also about to start work with a popular group of DJs, taking pictures of their events. Oh, and the D3000 has been upgraded to a D7000 - with the D3000 enjoying semi-retirement with my dad.
And for the 2014 season I've also been promoted to the Advanced section of the group - so no pressure there!!!
