As I've mentioned earlier, The waterfall is called "Niagara Falls", probably because of its height of 55m being within the range of 51-57m of the famous Niagara Waterfalls on the Canada and USA border.
The Island of Reunion itself it's the part of Mascarenhas Archipelago, which together with Mauritius, Rodrigues and other volcanic island are called "Hawaii of the Indian Ocean" due to its volcanic nature and mountains peaks above the 3000m above the sea level..
The other somewhat similar places are the Tenerife of Canary Islands and Fogo Island of Cape Verde which all have similar mountain heights and diversity of terrain and flora and are the "Hawaii of Atlantic."
Highly recommended.
Just beware of Great White Sharks!
