Greengages ,

By pentaxpatty
Hello and good morning from a chilly Sheffield, where did our summer go to?

Big thank you for your wonderful comments and votes and some lovely user awards for the sunny sunflowers yesterdays.

What a special lot you all are. Huge Thank you to Jukka, Sylvia ,Barbara, Martin ,Richard (dickspics) and Isabel (Chinga) for their treasured user awards.

Today something from the allotments, some greengages and a Romanesco Broccoli, very tasty but the creatures like the leaves on the cabbages and broccoli too.

I hope that you are having a good day today.

Love and light Patty xxSmileSmile

I was going to make a Frangipane tart with these but someone (no names mentioned) stewed them ! might still have a few left to cook with.

Don't see so many around these days.
Probably because they were usually grown in the UK.
Good pictures, Patty.

I've had Romanesque Broccoli before - very delicious but wouldn't know how to use greengages apart from jam.
Lovely to get things fresh from the allotment.
