If you go into the woods today:)

By pentaxpatty
Hello I did go to the woods today, hope that you are all well, A big thank you for all your lovely comments and votes, and a special thank you to Ali63 and Cathy and Stan for their very precious user awards.

I had a lovely walk through the woods near home today, there are 12 large nests high in the trees, with pairs of Heron nesting, it was wonderful to see them flying and the here noise they make . Hard to take photographs of them so high up. But managed to see this wonderful large fungus, following view some of the ancient woodland, and some tulips too.

Have a good evening and a start to a lovely weekend hopefully with some sunshine.

Love and light Patty xxSmileSmile

That's an old Birch Bracket fungus (Piptoporus Betulinus), Patty: they can last for years on the tree if not knocked off.
Always good to wander through a woodland and amazing what you may come across.

Wish I'd been with you! Lovely pictures, Patty. We have nests of crows near us who come to my fat ball feeders much to the disgust of the pheasants.
