"It is what it is"

By NDODS
I captured this image quite a while ago now whilst out and about in Brighton with Julie. Clearly the chair as put there for a reason, "Maybe to attract passing photographers, who once finished clicking would indulge is something to eat and drink?"

Thank you for all you wonderful open, and honest comments following my bloom upload.

The visit to the hospital proved to be another step back in my health. They have found a nasty infection in my ankle joint which they were going to treat with intravenous drugs, but they decided to give me horse tablets instead which I take a whopping 1000mg four times a day.

I hope that you have a wonderful day ahead, it is lovely and sunny here in Lower Stoke, so a day relaxing in the garden will be the way forward.

Regards Nathan Grin

Exceptional monochromatic tones Nathan , well processed, the composition is so well defined with your beautiful selective DOF leading your eyes to the only place to sit. Wow...John

Would maybe have turned the chair so it was facing the scene but a lovely spot and presentation, Nathan.

I do like the texture of the bricks, initially looking like sand, but joined to the pebbles beyond with a few pebbles on it too.

Good luck with the infection, i'd be taking lots of turmeric made into a smoothie with plain yoghurt as a natural antiseptic as well.

Chin up my friend and keep positive, I do like this composition, there is a fair bit of noise but adds to the ambience, it was made for mono.

Straight from the victorian era Nathan - I can image the ladies sitting here in their skirts and petticoats enjoying the sea view. The mono adds to this timeless quality - I really like it very much.

Looks a really comfortable chair - it wouldn't last long in rain though.
A gritty mono - looks a dull day.
Hope you'll get rid of that infection soon.

Looks like one of those days where the haze distorts things and just makes you want to sit in the sun and dream. Well composed image Nathan. Hope those big whoppers do the trick and quick........Sandy
I remember that jetty as I only had one swim at Brighton because we were just passing through.
It was a warm day and I can remember floating for about ten minutes........
The chair symbolises that I should probably stopped a bit longer.........
A lovely shadow exaggerating it's emptiness.......
Well done Nathan. WesternRed.
