Oh deer me...

By NDODS
A threesome for you today pop pickers. I captured these little fellas a while ago now whilst spending a wonderfully afternoon at Knole Park with Julie.

Thank you for your fabulous v's and c's following yesterdays Silly Sunday upload, with a further mention going to Gypsyman(Eric) for presenting me with his User Award.

It is a little overcast here at the moment. Kizmet is doing well, I have removed his Lampshade, and he is currently howling at Snoops our cat. Julie has order a rather large raised bed for the garden which shall be arriving between 9am and 5pm so I am forced to stay in until it arrives. I am sure I shall find something to do. Papier Mache is a fun thing to do so I may do something along those lines.

I hope that you all have a great day ahead and thank you all once agin for your support.

Regards Nathan

Beautiful picture, quite an imperious stare. I made papier mache bowls with the twins a couple of years ago. I cleaned my kitchen then went out; came home and cleaned it again!!! I never did anything with such a capacity for mess!!!

I love the balance in V1 - composition, focus, the foreground deer sharp and alert, the background deer soft and reflective - but I do wish you had the complete head on the right. I agree with Rod about light - these need just a bit more brightness, but not too much. Keep the subdued look.

Three excellent images, Nathan!
I think V3 and the watchful eye from behind gets top spot for me, today!
Hope you have fun getting stuck in to the papier mache!!

Pure delight. Love the expressions in all three. I love Deer and know them to be beautiful creatures but just wish they'd stop coming into my garden and eating the Yews! Someone seems to have forgotten to tell them, Yews are supposed to be deadly poison!!

A lovely set of these beautiful creatures, Nathan, with V 5 my favourite although it would be V 6 if cropped to a square format to exclude the ear on the left (oh, I know not so many seem to favour square formats but I think it might work nicely there).

I've got the benefit of seeing the newly improved versions
with more light and contrast. Beautiful gentle and soft - you're right not to overdo
the brightness.
Lovely deer captures. V3 and V6 are much the same only a slight exposer difference.
Well done Nathan. WesternRed.

All really nice Nathan. The second set is still underexposed, and after downloading V4, I would day 1/2 stop; theres also the fact that white balance is a little too cool, - a warmer WB improves the shot quite a bit, removing that slight blue appearance. Worth doing as the shots are very good quality.
