The priests.

By pentaxpatty
Good afternoon

Thank you all so much once again for the wonderful comments, votes and very special user awards, thank you to Dave(mistere) Joan EMJAYCEE, Bernie and to Ian (Dales)

Very kind of all and I do appreciate it.

More from the wonderful Beverley Minster, a sculpture in copper of the travelling priests. BY Helen Whittaker a sculpturess and stain glass artist. The version shows the shadows from the new window. Version 2 shows a larger image with a copper candle stick too. I agree with Leo the lead is tight but when lots of folk crowd around you have to grab your chance whilst you can,
Version 2 taken with the pentax K5
I hope that you are all well, chilly and wet here, unlike last weekend with glorious sunshine how lucky I was to have such wonderful light in the Minster.

Love and light Patty xxSmileSmile

A fascinating contrast between old and new, Patty.
A wonderful piece of sculpture to lead with, but I do prefer V1. A smashing image.

What a contrast between the new sculpture and the old Minster stonework.
And what an unusual piece of sculpture it is, certainly very eye catching and I must say I like it.
I do like the first version with the colours on the ancient flagstones......a well spotted opportunity that your keen eye picked up on.

PS......many thanks for your PM.......hope all the plants you bought do well for you.

V1 very much my favourite Patty - such lovely warm tones. Had to study the lead to convince myself !!!

I like the lead Patty although I tend to agree that it is a little tight on the right. It does look an interesting place to visit.

My favorite is v1. The sculpture leaves me a bit cold....guess I have little appreciation for modern art. It pales by comparison to the older crafts.
