Times have changed Patty, so has the Express and the Observer? The Daily Sketch rings a bell though.

Thank you Dave, my mum was a printer on the Express after she had left her job as a mill hand in the cotton mills in Lancashire, she left one dirty heavy job to another.

Great image, definitely v1 for me. Sadly I can just remember the Daily Sketch from my childhood.

Me, I can remember them all. If your soooooo old where does that leave me! Express and Observer are still going, the Sketch was swallowed up by one of the other papers, nice bit of olde times Patricia. It has be V1, for red was the Sketches title colour. Have a grand day you.

Hi Peter, yes it was its Banner, mum worded with all the top printers, she was the only woman printer in the country at one time.

Can remember delivering the Daily Sketch, when doing my paper round in the late 1950's and early 1960's, it ceased publication in 1971, fine image,
