Thanks -- pity about the rubbish bins and stuff in the background -- I was using a wide focal length and on a 'digital' it gives much more Depth of Field than on a 'Film Camera' due to the smaller Sensor size so I could not get it out of focus BUT the local newspapers don't worry about such things and USE it !
Thanks -- you are my 'Biggest Fan' !! After over 60 years in 'Club Photography' I should know that 'back-lighting' makes for good B&W Photos ! One of my 'Beginners' Photos won me several awards when I was 16 years old using a 1953 British 'Ensign Selfix' rollfilm camera with a 'back-lit' photo
This is a bit 'better' for an 'interesting photo 'point of view than your next one as on THIS one you have the larger amount of Blue water and the tree to contrast with the Orange of the rocks so it makes for more 'Colour Contrast' -- I see you are a 'Beginner' -- well wish I could have taken such photos when I started in 1951 with my Mum's Kodak Brownie Hawkeye box camera and ex-RAF WWII surplus film !
