Selected for a mini expo at the local rspca drop in centre these shots (some are repeats for before) have been re-worked and re-uploaded in time with the show.
Ps work, b+w gradient and levels.

Pup in arms,
Looked to capture the fragility of this young pup in for first his jabs, the nerves of the situation tempered by the stare at his owner looking for support.

He looks so nervous and worried.
Well aught Peps and please dont let Camera Killer near the poor little mite ok.
You have really improved with these images, they are looking great.
Well done and Good Luck.
Last time I used the channel mixer but a did a gradient on an image by mistake and was much happier so reconverted these for the expo.
And no dear CK is kept away, he does love other dogs though always says hello to the ill doggies downstairs.
i love this set. appeals to me in lots of different ways (b&w, animals, photojournalism) i love V2, and V4 the best, the little bit of rope on V4 adds some nice texture, V3 is the least stong but i think becuase it has less detail than the rest, like V2 which is simular but you have the mans face in the image, too which adds to it and the dogs expression is priceless
im not great with the technical stuff as you can tell but i hope you can tell what im getting at....sort off
I love v1 sooo much its a bit of a heart wrencher isnt it
Thanks guys, dont worry about tech speak I am still learning it (or bluffing ).
The first three are incredible - really good, with sympathetic treatment of subject and photo.
The 4th is the weakest for me, and doesn't fit with the rest of the subjects, yet I think still strong enough to form part of a series of cats.
1, 2 & 3 are rather good.
no 1 - that elbow on that right is very distracting
no 3 - might be worth to try to separate the tone of the cloth and the dog a bit more as they are too close as it shows.
no 4 - as mentioned, doesn't quite fit in the series.
Oh, the look in those eyes...
Understand the point about v4, however I must point out that although it doesn't fit either this four or the next four tomorrow it does fit in with the venue it is being shown in hence the inclusion here.
Small compromise to show the range of the venues work.
And thank you Sus, Col and Jacqueline
Love v1 especially, you can really see the fear in his eyes! Really well caught.
Thanks Ian and Steve,
Brilliant Series, they work brilliantly in B+W
Ha, and you say I sold my soul, at least I didn't go for the aww factor
