Excellent image - great use of light, and a stunning concept.

Hello again Pinkesh Smile

This image, if it was in the main image gallery instead of here in the critique gallery, is one that I would vote on and/or give my user award to without hesitation. I think it's superb. Yes, you've got a heck of a lot of camera movement in the frame, due no doubt to your shutter speed at that focal length - you were never going to get a pin sharp image with that combinaton Smile

But that has worked to your advantage here, beautifully so. There's such a sense of intensity in what the women are doing, and the lighting source has picked out the dust particles wonderfully well.

I think that the only things I'd personally change is to remove that little strip of lights top right, which are distracting, and a strip of light on the left hand side for similar reasons. Although I love the darker vignette, I want to see more of the finer details in the foreground too.

So I've done you a mod where I've cropped a little off the bottom, removed the distractions as mentioned above, and I've also removed your logo. Although I understand the reasons for putting it on the image, it's not necessary in the critique gallery and can actually be a barrier in itself to 'seeing' the image in its entirety in order to give feedback. Okay, yours is a lot less visible than some I've seen, but even so. (And by removing it, it also illustrates the point of just how easy it is to do so, and reiterates the point that adding a logo is no barrier to image theft - anyone with the nouse could remove it in a heartbeat.)

it is wonderful..
i would have thought of giving it a user award too, Pinkesh..
there's everything.. working, moving, team-work, fatigue.. so much to see.. such an important work..
atmospheric and makes an immediate impact.. any magazine / newspaper would be glad to publish it..
wish I could know where it was shot.. you appear to be a Gujarati by name and I lived there for 10 years.. in Mehsana..

Yes, this is superb, and in the main gallery would get my award too.

Things that I am enjoying - the very clear narrative in the figures, for all that they are almost pure silhouettes. The grace and the weariness in the body language. The fact that they are distinct, individuals. The mix of sharp profiles and soft blur. And above all the use of very tricky light. Light is everything in photography.

I would get rid of the coloured lights top right, otherwise no change. Although I do like Willie's b&w modification.

This is quality work and individual, personal vision.

Yes, you simply go through the uploading process again tomorrow, using the same picture but DON'T CLICK ON THE CRITIQUE BUTTON!

Very effective indeed and extremely well seen. I might see what happened if I darkened the whole thing a bit, but that would be a different image. If you want comment and interest in your work, use the critique gallery.

Excellent work! It pays to carry a camera all the time.

The bright areas at the top right need to be cloned out, as Tanya says - and I'd lose the logo, as well. Very voteworthy indeed.
