excellent capture, on both partsSmile I would expect the heron to let go, that fish looks like a perch, with those spines, I doubt that it would go down very well.

Great capture; pretty ambitious bird! I love the way the heron is squatting on his knees, or whatever you call that with a heron.

Cracking capture. It might have been the spines on the perch. That would have been a price catch for any fisherman.

The fish was wise to keep his dorsal fin up, but I guess it met it's fate anyway. I've seen them successfully down sandabs.
