Mistral

By perrism
The Mistral's a northerly wind that travels up the Rhne valley in France in 70mph gusts for days on end and creates astonishing cloud formations. This isn't a photo of a cloud formation, however, it's the surface of a swimming pool being buffetted by the winds (the closest I could think of to photographing a wind). I quite liked the abstract pattern - the Mistral itself is horrible, like living with a poltergeist.

wow, great description and lovely, pleasing image.

the gradient, color differential and diagonal all work well together here.
