Bliss

I went to a local gig a couple of years ago to see a Led Zeppelin tribute band called Graf Zeppelin and test a camera I had for review. The pub was dark and stage lighting minimal so getting good shots was tricky. I set the digital ISO to 800 which made the shot look noisy. The girl was in the small audience and was in a world of her own. she looked so happy. I've played around with dodge and burn to make the cig glow. Not sure what to do with the air guitarist to the right (who was also in his own world. Should I tone him down or leave him as he is?

I'd leave him, if only for the fact that it will remind him that he was there too see them and prompt him into shame.
I like it, Pete, but the D1X is terrible in low light.

Very good shot pete , i thnk the guy on the guitar has a ghostly enough appearance to be a figment of her imagination , this shot screams out to have a led zep sound file to play with it , and who says smokings bad for you , not her obviously. nice work , tells a story . click

without doubt leave him as he is, an integral part of the picture for me! The image is full of atmosphere. They both sem to be in a world of their own

I think that the airhead's frantic attempt at a Jimmy Page solo places emphasis on the nicotine-induced calmness of the Graf groupie and also gives a better feel of the atmosphere of the night.

I personally think that you should leave it, works well enough for me, can relate to the gig thing and there are many personallities that are brought together but im allways to scared my camera will get crushed in the mosh pit!

I'm going to go against everyone elses comments on this and say that you should tone him down (but only slightly) to bring greater emphasis to the lady in the forground...

I like as is with the air guitarist. Makes her look sort of detached from her surroundings because he doesn't quite fit. Am I making any sense..?

Great image. The exclusion of the subject from the surroudings is superb, yet they create a nice atmosphere/frame.
