Photography and music are my two passions. I edited photography magazines for around 20 years and launched the UK's first digital imaging magazine. I founded ePHOTOzine and was owner / publisher until 2013. The photos in my portfolio are ones I like from shoots I do in any spare time I have.

I spent a few minutes photographing bees today with the Olympus OM-D and 60mm macro. I really like the lens's internal focusing with large manual focusing ring. Although I found it easier with these bees to set the ratio I wanted (1:2 here) and move in and out to obtain focus. That meant I could concentrate on following the bee around the flowers like a giant stalker.

Some had huge clusters of pollen on their legs and struggled to get from one flower to the next. Wonder if they complain about work and look forward to the weekend?
