Careful with that reflection!

Pete

Photography and music are my two passions. I edited photography magazines for around 20 years and launched the UK's first digital imaging magazine. I founded ePHOTOzine and was owner / publisher until 2013. The photos in my portfolio are ones I like from shoots I do in any spare time I have.

Careful with that reflection!

Well here's a first - a reflection of the lens in the photograph and no mirror in sight.
I spent today walking on Bleaklow moors and photographing the aircraft wreckage. I had a Lee graduated filter mounted on the lens which became mirror-like. I didn't notice when taking the photo. This is also a straight shot no manipulation, showing natural halo effects from shooting direct into the sun - it almost looks like a bad HDR. Light can do strange things!

Well, it took me a while to see the lens reflection, but now I do (even if I can't read it backwards!) Looks like an interesting place on those moors, and it's actually quite a cool photo too - an almost prehistoric feel to it. Hope you're enjoying yourself Smile
