Guide to Great Photography II

Photography and music are my two passions. I edited photography magazines for around 20 years and launched the UK's first digital imaging magazine. I founded ePHOTOzine and was owner / publisher until 2013. The photos in my portfolio are ones I like from shoots I do in any spare time I have.

Guide to Great Photography II

Did I say I would never, ever do another version?
I think I did?

Well the other day I started pencilling the way I'd do it again, if I did do it, not that I will...erm I think I may be losing my mind, even considering this...but who knows.

I really liked the book when it landed on my desk and it would be great to do another...stop...relax...think!

And the photos looked fabulous, and we've had so many new members join since the last one...voice in head A number II would be really good...shut up!!!!

Well to be honest I'm on the edge of considering doing another...but the last took two years! I learned a lot from the last one so maybe this would take much less time.

Who knows?
I do?
Oh yes...back to the pencil Wink

Well, if we do get around to doing another book, surely either way it makes the 72 copies of the original much more valuable.

Go for it!
The book still has pride of place amongst my other photography books.
I found ePz after you had selected all the photos for the book, so a chance to get one of my pics in number II would be great.

Well I'll buy it Pete ! - ( now if you need a section on photojournalism and dead dolphins !!! ) Smile

Oh dear Pete, I knew you'd crack. If you've been thinking about whether to buy the book or not now is the time to buy as we only have 72 left here and the distributor has run out!

Not sure about the number for a psychiatrist but Bassetlaw Mental Health number is 01909 502001. Hope this helps.

Classic lines from the likes of McEnroe and Victor Meldrew spring to mind! Wink

But on second thoughts, yes, I do believe it!

Masochist! Tongue

Yippie! At least you are considering it - I did not dare to ask you. But the first book is just too good to leave it there. And most of the work has been done (lay out, tutorials etc.)....

I think it took too long for the first one to come out, really.

As by the time it was out, you have so many more outstanding new photos. And as the technology moves on so quick, the quality of photos just get so much better within a year. As you mentioned in Focus, now looking back at the ECs you gave out 1 or 2 or 3 years ago, the quality might not be there anymore.

But we really should have the 2nd one! Smile
