on the edge

Pete

Photography and music are my two passions. I edited photography magazines for around 20 years and launched the UK's first digital imaging magazine. I founded ePHOTOzine and was owner / publisher until 2013. The photos in my portfolio are ones I like from shoots I do in any spare time I have.

on the edge

I walked along Stanage edge yesterday. The weather was good, with just one very brief appearance of rain and a covering of cloud, the rest of the time was glorious sunshine, with random clouds to create interesting patches of light and shade on the distant landscape. The area was, as usual, full of mountain climbers practising their technique on the gritstone edge and plenty of walkers.
Also, despite signs that cycling isn't allowed, there was the occasional mountain biker. Here's one I photographed from a low viewpoint as he passed. There's a 500 fine for cycling in this area, maybe he should have worn a mask Wink
I messed around in Lightroom to give a more graphical tone mapped appearance.

Top shot! Being a law-abiding citizen yourself, you should've approached him and advised him of his misdemeanor. If he had refused to get off his bike you could've used this picture to blackmail him with. Rules is rules after all. You might have made a sale too. Smile
