Planning

Pete

Photography and music are my two passions. I edited photography magazines for around 20 years and launched the UK's first digital imaging magazine. I founded ePHOTOzine and was owner / publisher until 2013. The photos in my portfolio are ones I like from shoots I do in any spare time I have.

Planning

The final stages of planning are complete for ePHOTOzine V5. Today we spent the last session planning the upgrade and there's still a mammoth task ahead for the IT team.

You've probably seen by now the new look site. If not look around this post - the new menu is part of the change. We are also making things more accessible, while incorporating some of the features that have been asked for over the last few year.

The final stages is a 24 page long list of specification changes. New stuff includes the option to put pictures in forums, more stats, a new improved gallery section with refined categories, a full equipment rebuild, better structured techniques and articles section and much more.

The forums are close to finished and should go live next week.

We've had to hold some of the upgrades back to get these things finished and then we move on to V5.1, where we develop the second tier of feature upgrades.

A lot of exciting things ahead.

I did wonder why the menu at the top kept changing. Smile

Mmmmm! I can foresee lots of activity in the forums when you have the switchover! Smile

Yes, it's different, but easy to understand and soon got used to. I just hope folk give it a chance before they start moaning!
