Pointless junk mail

Pete

Photography and music are my two passions. I edited photography magazines for around 20 years and launched the UK's first digital imaging magazine. I founded ePHOTOzine and was owner / publisher until 2013. The photos in my portfolio are ones I like from shoots I do in any spare time I have.

Pointless junk mail

19 Mar 2012 10:15PM   Views : 530 Unique : 384

We all get fed up with daily email spam, spam phone calls and pointless junk mail through the letterbox. Well most of it's pointless, but this one that arrived in today's post beat the rest.

The main message to get you to open the letter was "You can ignore me if you want to."

So I did while chuckling to myself

I normally open junk mail . I have no idea why - it's just you still want to be nosy and see what's inside, even though you know it's going to be from the utility company offering you a better deal, car insurance with super discounts, double glazing, banks, sky packages, etc etc.

I have no idea what was in my blue envelop either. I did as they asked for once, and it went straight in the bin. I hope it wasn't cash from Nigeria or some lottery win from Spain. I will never know what fabulous offer awaited my attention.

Photo taken with Olympus E-P2 and the Toy lens which I'm growing more fond of each time I use it.

Where I live we are "council instructed" NOT to put unopened mail in the recycle bin.

Also, some of it comes wrapped in plastic, so that has to go in the separate "landfill" wheelie bin.

Not sure about cash from Nigeria but according to all my local Estate Agents everybody is desperate to buy my house ! !
