Poppy field

Pete

Photography and music are my two passions. I edited photography magazines for around 20 years and launched the UK's first digital imaging magazine. I founded ePHOTOzine and was owner / publisher until 2013. The photos in my portfolio are ones I like from shoots I do in any spare time I have.

Poppy field

A good poppy field for those near the A57 (M1 to Worksop stretch)

It's just before the small villages of North and South Anston when heading from the M1 to Worskop/A1. Park in the village and walk back on the road. There's a cut in on the left a few yards just past the bus shelter. From here you can walk around the edge either going up the hill and in anticlockwise direction or follow the hedge around the bottom in an anti clockwise direction.
It was raining yesterday so I didn't manage to get much before I bagged up and escaped. Today was too windy, but I took this to give you an idea of the type of field.
Poppy, Rape, and white flowers, along with green foliage, and hopefully on a better day blue sky. I used Lightroom's gradient tool to add the blue to what was a grey coloured sky.

Love it when I or anybody else gets this combination of colours Smile
They just go together perfectly.

Must be Poppy week-end as I also found some today, and about 30 other photographers ! !

Apparently been the most visited field in the area for several days.

For anyone down near Brighton / Lewes the field is along The Drove between Falmer / A27 and Woodingdean, just by Brighton & Hove Albion's football ground.
