Derwent Isle

Derwent Isle shot last night in the Lake District. A very damp day with the odd 10 mins of no rain! Shot this image just before last light with rain incoming from the left! Probably the last chance to get the Autumn colors of the Lakes!

Very beautiful, love the contrast of the colour on the island and the muted background.
As for being a great place to live - yes, until you need something big delivered or need help from the fire service or an ambulance.

Super colours on that island.
Possibly a crop from the top to remove the darker sky would be a different presentation too as I'm not sure it's adding anything to the lovely colours here.
