Loch Linnhe

By Emu72
THE most amazing sunset I have witnessed, shot from the Holly Tree Hotel, Kentallen, Scotland - looking towards Creach Bheinn.

This was our home away from home for 5 glorious nights of fine food and even better light!!

Thanks for looking Tongue

F/16
iso100
15 & 30s exposures with a 5 stop Hitech filter, blended in cs5 using luminosity masks, however the raw file is not that dissimilar.

Thanks for looking!

Spectacular lighting and the sihouette of the ridge is beautiful. I think the chain of 3 rocks works well as interest and a lead in because of the vector they create to take the eye across the open water. I don't usually do any touching up to my landscapes but in this case I'd be tempted to clone out the 4th stone which is cut off by the frame edge; it pulls your eye out of the frame rather than strengthening the comp. Otherwise it's sublime! Smile
