Tranquility Smile Lovely bit of FG ice on the diagonal which suits the rest of the arrangement. The trio of rocks lead into the lovely light. My only other comment would be the golden light on the water is much more saturated than in the sky which may be natural but stands out slightly in this day when we fool the eye using ND grads to equalise things. The rest of the sky is perfectly balanced however, so it is but a minor point. Smile

Some nice light here Ade
Lucky, indeed. And, I have often heard that the harder you work, the luckier you get. As you proved. Great photo.

Oooooooo......stunning !!!.....as simple as that !!!!
I like this, but I think it would be more "inviting" if it was flipped horizontally, so that the ice went from left-to-right. It's somehow easier on the eye that way, at least to me. Tried a quick mod and in fact I find it easier to "move around" the image when the image is flipped horizontally.

Regardless, it's a splendid scene and I like it whichever way it's presented. Well taken!

Ade the diagonal ice, takes your eye straight out of the frame.

The sky is darker than it's own reflection, which technically is complete nonsense- light loss in the denser medium means the reverse is always the case. Use your eyes.

sky's dark because of a vignette added in post... it's a big, soft vignette and it covers most of the sky

Fair enough. Didn't realize you actually wanted it to look wrong. ( Mind you, this is the pan calling the kettle, because I've done the same thing myself....). No offence.

Can't argue with that. These things are personal, and if that's your truth then I respect it.Smile
