The Sitting Down tree...

By Scottishlandscapes
...all things are possible in Scottish woods, fairy tales and scary stories and trees that follow people around.
I think I met one of them in Faskally Woods near Pitlochry.

I can see the legs that the tree on the right uses to creep around following folks TongueGrin. There has been beautiful light and colour around this year, as you have shown here Dougie. Moira

Remarkable! Like Treebeard in The Lord of the Rings.
... and just because you think they're following you, that doesn't mean they aren't Wink GrinGrin

We Scots have a reputation regarding our bad health Dougie.
Even our trees suffer.
I think it is about time he got his hernia seen too !!

Well spotted and characterised, Dougie.
When we had a family holiday in Perth in the mid-60s I remember there was a piper who frequented the Faskally area, playing for drams by all accounts. Now he was really scary!

The colours at Faskally are superb at the moment - we stopped briefly on the bridge overlooking the loch, but the sun wasn't quite in the right place and unfortunately we were in a hurry. It looks from your image that the woods need to be explored - it seems you've found a good seat to wait for the right light Dougie!

A magical woodland photograph with a great title Dougie. I often feel that I spend too much time rushing around the woods with a camera. I need to stop and look more. This would be the ideal spot.
