  • Yellow Wagtail (Motacilla flava)

Hi Ray, A good set of images although for me, one or two lack critical sharpness. V1 & V7, probably do it for me. Although V8 is good too, apart from that dead branch. You have lovely catch lights in the eyes in most of them and the images show the bird well in its natural environment. Yellow can sometimes be a difficult colour in digital images - might be worth trying selecting the bird and de-saturating it ever so slightly.

Thanks, Ray & Mavis. Yes, my wife wants me to make an A3+ print and frame it to hang in an empty space in our lounge.

Thanks for the award, Jon, it's much appreciated. To be honest, I processed this several months ago and have been quite unsure as to whether this treatment works or not - the positive feedback from you and others is re-assuring!

  • Lake St Clair (Revisited)

Thanks, Ann - I got a real buzz out of the LRPS when I achieved it almost 3 weeks ago. Strangely, though, after 4 or 5 months concerted effort there's a bit of anti climax about it now! I need some new projects, I think.

I wholeheartedly agree, David. It suited the subject on this occasion and in any event, I wouldn't want to repeat the several hours (over several attempts) to get such a difficult selection right too often!!
