More top class digital manipulation but it still leaves me feeling it is just a clever computer generated image, rather than a photograph.

Nice picture, Peter but I know what Sean means. It's the direction of the lighting, where the planes are lit from the left, particularly the higher one, but we can see the moon to their right. The direction of lighting is key to making a manipulated image appear real.

Very well said Sean. There's photography and there's designing with photoshop. You can't make a really good landscape from sitting in you armchair but you can put together a nice scene with the help of Photoshop........if you like that sort of thing!

I agree with all of you but I'm trying to keep the 'digital imaging' end up. All adds to the debate.

as a huge fan of photoshop and all things digitally manipulated, have to say i really like this and the rest of your portfolio. My opinion is you can't make a good digital art piece without the bones of a good photograph..and therefore a good photographer..and not all digital images need to look 'real' as impressionist painters realised long ago! its still art and so is photography...sorry stepping off soap box now! Smile (bet that's buggered up my chance of any more clicks..lol)
