First Snow

Our first snowfall of the yea, with 4-6 inches across the island.The snow ended around 3 PM on Saturday, followed by an icy rain for the balance of the day. Sunday morning I loaded up and hit he backyard looking for a few good images. Pickings were slim but I hopefully caught a few nice images.
The remnants of the snow and ice, under an overcast sky. Soft, diffused light, enhanced a bit with a polarizing filter and a touch of white balance.

Thanks Carol, much appreciated and I'm sure you're right on the money about the snow to still come. Of the joys of commuting to work on snow and ice.

We got about 5 inches an then some of the ice rain-- did not even consider going out to look for images! Well done to clamber about in the ice!
