Splashing rose

By PeterWoodham
I did this with water but the splashes disappeared into the background, so I did it with milk and this is the result.
Sorry to my wife for covering the bathroom floor, walls and door in milk!

Welcome to the Critique Gallery peter.

This is a good effort. You need to let us know your shot settings (exif data) and set up, so we can provide a productive critique. On the upload page, watch out for EXIF options.

Its a little underexposed I think, - judging mainly by the milk, and Ive uploaded a mod with the milk closer to white, with a little sharpening and contrast to enhance the drops. Without exif data, thats as far as I can go, - hope its helpful. Scroll up the page and click on the modifications tab.

regards

The mod is a significant improvement and you have done well technically yourself. I do ask myself why though? May work as a book cover for a suitable title.

Well I like it. Well worth having made a bit of a mess to get the splashing. Great idea to use milk!!
