Hello Peter,

Thankyou very much for the comment on my picture, the tips and advice. Definitely made me feel more optimistic about my photos in future!
I don't just yet have an SLR, but my birthday is in September and I've been asking for one for a while now. I know it'll make a difference to my photos and I can't wait to have one!
Love your portfolio, your photographs are all so interesting and the colours look gorgeous.
Thanks again,

You have one of the most stunning portfolios on eP. You've put your Sigma 10 - 20 to very, very good use. I have to confess that I'm a sucker for a good landscape (and seascape) and so many of yours are of the highest quality. I'm amazed that some of them have had so few 'clicks'. That's the nature of an on-line site I guess.

Hello Peter,

Just wanted to say thanks for the comment on my bird picture and for the hints and tips in general.

As for the kit you suggest, I now have a D80 SLR with 18-135mm lens and I've got a tripod and that's about it. I've ordered the book J said you recommended called "Understanding Exposure" so intend reading that and taking it from there!

Enjoying your landscape stuff of late, how was Banff?

Hiya Peter, you have some great shots on your pf and website, I just wish I had the time to click on more of them.
I love the Barra shots and water espescially.
