Two great shots — mountains always look at their best when the sun is shining across them to give good shadows.

I don't think there's much difference between the two versions in terms of quality. Yes, the horizon isn't straight in the first one but the horizon isn't a prominent (or even noticeable, really!) part of the composition, so I don't think that's very important.

Great to see a shot from you again Pete! And another lovely "I can feel the cold sitting here" shot it is... I prefer the clouds in V1 but on the whole, it's definitely V2 for me as I find it more balanced and like the greater prominence given to the light on the foreground.

A bit more of the tops in V2 Pete, an amazing sight up there in both. You are a true mountain man, we could do with seeing more of your work my friend.
