Scottish Sea Power

By pfheyes
Another image taken from my visit to Elgol. This was taken a few minutes earlier than the previous upload, and is actually the first shot I took with this composition.

The light is better in the first version uploaded. Here, the sun was being filtered through high cloud, making the lighting soft. I decided to compose the image using the foreground rock because of its warm colour and texture. I then took several exposures with different wave patterns.

At the moment, this is my favourite from the series, despite the softer light. I reserve the right to change my mind though. Smile

The only PC work is tonal adjustments, and some cropping to strengthen the composition.

All comments and critique welcome. Thanks for looking.

Sensational Pete I'll have to wander farther along the shore before my legs give up on me. The bigger boulders always look so damned slippery when I've got along.
Love the colour and drama of this one, plus the water movement, one of my great failings is just perfection. A wonderful image to be proud of.

Magical, from the top with the subtle colours in the dark sky, to the bottom with the texture in the oncoming water.
