Peek-a-Boo

By Maiwand
The Tawny Owl (strix aluco)
This of course is the Owl that hoots after dark and produces the traditional Owl noise that we all recognise. It does of course have a repertoire of other noises but it is the hoot that is most common. This, of course, is a captive bird and a resident at a local sanctuary.
Hope you will like him.
Great and appreciative thanks for the wonderful attention given to the Long Eared. Very generous. Particular thanks to Ken. Armakk,Lin,David,Carole,Geoff, for their User Awards. I have pm'd all.
Wish you all a pleasant w/e.
Ron

I'm not sure what type of owl A.A. Milne had in mind for his owl in Winnie the Pooh, but one of these fellas may well fit the character! Always a pleasure to see your images, Ron Smile
