A change of direction for me tonight from my usual uploads, trying to develop an all round photography approach.
With a big nod in the general direction of Nick (Godders) for the inspiration and idea for these shots, here are my first attempts at an indoor shoot using Fruit, lemonade and a macro lens.
I would welcome any thoughts, advice or comments on the success, or otherwise, of these two shots.
The first is a Lime, the second an orange.
Thank you for looking.
Look blooming good to me!
V1 has worked extremely well, with light through the lime and bubbles everywhere. V2 doesn't have the clarity on the fruit and I also feel the fruit takes up too much space. What I DO like about V2 is the orange along the top line.
Yes i agree with the comment above. V1 defo works better. Well done, Melissa
I prefer V2, but only because it's brighter and bolder. They both have their merits.
V1 is astonishing. Could be in an advert. Top quality. JNC
I think you've done an excellent job here Phil, like both,
Absolutely top work, Phil. Feel very proud of yourself for these
Mmmm scrummy! Super shots!
Great shots, look better than my old attempts!
I like both.
Spot on presentation.
Lovely to see you trying something totally different. 2 top quality shots!!
like the crop cracking shot
V1 for me.
V1 for me, I think it has more bite, no pun intended
Excellent work Phil, thanks for the mention.
Both are very good pieces of imagery,
Both are really excellent.
both excellent shots, the colour and composition - spot on
Well done on the HC, Phil
Just had to come back to congratulate you on the HC !!!!!
Very good both of them
Super detail in this Phil - V1 for me.
Congrats on the HC.
I think the lime looks better because of the space the image has on the left. Also, I think that it is better because the water has more detail on it due to having more backlighting brightening the fruit.
Two brilliant images, congratulations on the HC award
