Now that is what I call a corker of a shot Phil, you must be chuffed to bits with this, I know I would be. My only nit would be the wingtip being a tad close to the right hand edge, was there more canvas available to play with?

Simply stunning & probably one of the best shots I have seen of Kaln.

A real pleasure to view, especially large, which is a must.

Thank you all for your comments, really thrilled you like this shot as much as I do.

Vince, thank you very much, coming from the owner of Kaln I take your comments as a great compliment.
I know what you mean about the wing tip.....this was just as it came out of the camera, a couple of feet closer to me and I think I would have missed it out.

Extraordinary capture! One of those shots that just has you gasping! It has everything right. The shallow focus and incredible colours in the foreground make this stand out from the crowd!

Well done!

It really is one of the best of Kaln I have seen, despite the right hand side a bit tight.

31 May 2010 11:02AM
Congratulations on POTW Phil.
I knew this was something special when I voted on it a while back.

You may have problems having it made into a canvas print though cos don't they require a lot of space around the edges to wrap it around the base board?

Hope you get it done though as it would look great on the wall.

Well done.

Well done...Great photo. I really like the sharp owl in brown against the pastel shades of the flowers and green background. Its eyes are piercing and the instant really has been frozen in time.

Top top class! One of the best images I've seen on the site. The eye contact of the owl, the wonderful depth of field, even the flowers look beautiful. Stunning. Really nothing at all to fault, I'd have been immensely proud to take this.
