Quote:Is it me, or does it need a slight rotation to the right to get that lake level?
lovely view though - wow - could sit there all day I bet!
Think it's you Adrian! Using a vertical guide in PS, the tree trunks are as close to vertical as I can make out (I'm assuming of course that they're vertical in reality). I think it's that the bank is receding that perhaps makes judging levelness a bit tricky.
Glad you like the image!

try using a horizontal guide in PS - put the guide on the water line on the very left of the shot.
You'll see then that the water horizon falls below the line as you look to the right.
I'd screen shot it and upload it - but there's no way to do it as part of a photo comment
it's a 2 second fix, not a biggy

Hi Adrian,
I think you initially threw me by saying it might need a slight rotation to the right. Actually, on closer inspection (using the vertical guide from mountain top to mountain top reflection), a 1 degree rotation to the left does straighten it up! As you say, not a biggy but definitely worth doing...so thanks.
Uploaded the fix as a variant.

Quote:It's correct the way it is. The shoreline is actually coming towards you on the right so of course the water level looks like it is sloping.
Yes, that's why I wasn't so keen on using a horizontal guide....but the vertical guide between mountain tip and mountain tip reflection did indicate that the image was in need of rotating a tiny bit anti-clockwise. The variant uploaded above does look a bit better (as well as the sky which I lightened as in the original I felt I'd over-cooked it a tad!).
