i generally hate distracting backgrounds but for whatever reason this one does not bother me so much despite it being somewhat inconguous.

I think however a larger aperture would have both created that additional separation from the bg and of course offered that little faster shutter rather than risk camera shake (rule of reciprocity). A little exposure compensation would have rendered the white areas slightly better.

i am voting nonetheless as the subject is sharp and generally full of detail
