Taken yesterday in the New Forset - There were lots of these "dancing jewels" along the heathland runnels - all very skittish due to being really warm - this was hand held. - so all in all very pleased with the result- which has just had a few sensor spots cleaned up and a tad of sharpening.

Watcha Phil,
very beautiful Beautiful Demoiselle, and very well caught, guddun.
perhaps you can help me, please:
Now, I took a slide this morning, pretty abysmal so it won't be seen, but, the damsel has the red eyes and thorax, a brown abdomen and a blue band on the tail, I can't identify it, any ideas?
9 Jul 2006 9:00PM
Hi Mick - almost certain to be a Red Eyed Damsel - The red eyes plus the blue tail are dead certain giveaways . The brown body points to it being immature - Hope it helps. Phil.
