My evening looked destined to be disappointing due to the poor condition of the marbled Whites - The light was fading fast when I luckily found this super conditioned male within 50 metres of the car. Luckily the air was still and I managed a few nice shots on both digital & film before I lost the light completly - Hope you like it. Phil

Good shot Phil. I like the colours and would like all the small screen res versions, would have liked to have seen it larger . You were lucky to get it under the circumstances. Do you know what flower species the butterfly is perched on?

Regarding the ID's - I'm no kind of " Ologist " but believe the plant is of the Trefoil family ( possibly Lare Birdsfoot Trefoil? ) - the male of the species Wendy is a very pronounced Black & White whereas the female is a buff type light brown. Hope it helps. See my previous upload for a female version. Phil.

Watcha Phil,
I've just received an email from someone I supplied pics to a while ago, he's looking for a marbled white butterfly,
do you have one or can you source one?
I've contacted a few other members.

this buyer represents a local authority, they pay when they say they will by BACs

let me know if you want his email or want me to put him in contact with you.
