Rooms With A View

By Philo
I had an hour to kill in Leeds city centre so I roamed the city with camera in hand to see what I could capture. This is the first one I processed and hopefully there will be more to come.
After about 4 months with a DSLR I finally worked out exposure locking so I was able to expose for the bright sky instead of my usual trial and error with exposure compensation.
Camera settings: f8, 1/400s, ISO 100

Excellent job on the exposure - it is about perfect! The composition is nice with the river leading in from the right and you have superb depth of field. The subject matter does not grab me, but that is not really relevant here!

Wow, Thanks Frank, that really does mean a lot. I guess I'd better do as I am told!
All my progress is due largely to the help I have received from epz users like yourself as this site is my only learning resource.

This is really nice, the reflections are good, the composition is good, and I know you are pleased with the sky, as you should be.
