Luskentyre Beach Isle Of Harris

By Philpot
This is the first real trip out this year and it was planned 4-5 months ago. Luskentyre beach in the Outer Hebrides is very minimalist and on first landing there I wondered what I was going to capture, once the light came together I ventured into the sea, drove the tripod into the sand and waited to capture the retreating tide.

I've not experienced this before but the light at this location (and others in the outer hebrides) was so subtle that most of the images taken need very little editing. I can say it was well worth the wait.

PS Hope your all keeping safe. KR Phil

There is a terrific sense of swirling movement in this shot, which is also well crafted and very lovely. Have to fave it too. Smile

A great picture! The long streaks of foam that result from an astute choice of shutter speed are very impressive in filling half the frame.

A cracking capture, Phil, love the patterning in the sand 👍
Take care and keep well,
