Hunted II

By phisher
As in my previous upload, I wanted to show a fly fishing fly & a fish together in one photo. This time I wanted the fish to be more dominant than the fly.
I also hoped that these would be a bit different. According to my wife's reaction when she saw these photos, I obtained that goal ( that still makes me smile). Oh well, these were fun to do & I like'em.
The fish was a brown trout caught (& released) in a small Alberta stream.
Put together using PSE2.

The opposite to your other one, Phil, where the fly was large and the fish was smaller, coming towards it. I like both images, they are innovative and eye-catching. You give them a feel of being in dark water, watching the action.
The detail, texture and colours on this fish are very well caught (oops) and, for me, I think it has the edge over the other one.

Great shot. The only problem is that the eye is a big black hole. Needs a catchlight in there to make it perfect.

Excellent detail and colour. Good manipulation too.
Makes me feel sorry for that gullible fish!

The eye is usually black, so that seems fine to me. And the light looks good too. Maybe fishing mags would like this or something along these lines.

Nice work: wouldn't have known if you hadn't said. Makes a colourful image suit some competition.

Excellent work, though I think I would have kept the trout for dinner! Wink Spot on! Click!!!

Very well arranged and presented image!

As a fly fisherman, you have struck a familiar chord - reminds me of the last Brown I caught close to the bridge on #1 near Canmore.

Thanks for your comments on my shot of the McDougall mission at Morley - I appreciated your B&W version of the same scene.

Nicely done. Like to throw a line or two in myself when I get the chance. Working in south Florida with my brother at the moment and getting into some Peacock bass, not hit the big un yet but a few small ones. Get the chance search them and take a look...beautiful fish.

A Cracking Shot and Idea...!

This idea crossed my mind but I knew a dead fish would look awful. I hadn't considered a days fishing with friends hunting for real fish.

Don't believe for a minute though that fly would entice this fish... lol.
